Full-Time Senior Vet Nurse

Join our vibrant team at Bay of Islands Veterinary Services! We're on the lookout for a Full-Time Senior Vet Nurse to be part of our close-knit crew in the stunning, subtropical Far North of New Zealand.

We're seeking someone, either in their final year of study towards  a Diploma, or higher level qualification. Just as crucially, we want someone who brings positivity, motivation, and enjoys working as a team.

Our ideal candidate would be available for full-day shifts, at least four days a week, but for the right person(s), we're open to considering job share arrangements. You'll also be part of our after-hours roster, supporting our Saturday morning clinics and assisting vets during after-hours calls. Nurses aregenerously compensated for after-hours availability.

At Bay of Islands Vets, we prioritize a healthy work-life balance, and our location offers the perfect backdrop for achieving that. Whether you enjoy relaxing on beautiful beaches, engaging in water sports, or getting away from it all with forest walks and mountain biking, there's something here for everyone. And let's not forget the abundance of cafes, restaurants, wineries, and craft breweries – all at your fingertips.

As an independent, private mixed practice with five clinics spread across the Bay of Islands, we cater to companion animals, farm animals, and equines. The practice has DR xray, dental, ultrasound, in-house labs, orthopedic kit (TPLO), as well as plenty of GA monitoring equipment, fluid pumps etc to make your job easier.

Moreover, we're deeply involved in our local community, supporting animal charities like Bay of Islands Animal Rescue, Coast to Coast Cat Rescue, and the SPCA, as well as sponsoring the Kiwi Coast Kiwi Rehab Unit.

As part of our team, you'll enjoy the flexibility of rotating duties between our main Kerikeri clinic and branch clinics, ensuring coverage for annual leave and sick days.

We cover NZVNA membership and AVPRC registration costs, and we're big proponents of continuous professional development, offering financial support for relevant activities. Remuneration will be based on experience.
