Bay of Islands Veterinary Services has been providing top quality veterinary care to the animals of the beautiful Bay of Islands for over 50 years.
Karina graduated from Massey in 2000. She worked in a small animal practice in the Auckland area before going overseas on her OE in 2002. She spent 10 years overseas, spending two years locuming and then the rest of her time practicing in a clinic in South Wales.
She returned to New Zealand in 2012 and spent 8 years in Gisborne, where she developed a love of working dog medicine and complicated trauma cases. Karina moved to the sunny Noth at the start of 2020 and was promoted to Clinical Head Vet in the middle of the year. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and improving in-patient management and care. She lives with her blue Burmese cat Dee and in her spare time can be found exploring the many beautiful beaches in Northland and attempting to catch fish from her kayak.
