Director & Veterinary Surgeon
My name is Jorrit Verver, and I completed vet school in 2009 in The Netherlands (Master’s in Farm Animal Health, Dairy Production Medicine). During vet school I spent time at several renowned equine clinics in the USA and UK and published a paper about superovulation in mares at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory in Colorado.
After graduation I worked at large studs in equine reproduction and spent a number of years in dairy cattle practice. Nowadays I am an all-round mixed practitioner and keen to tackle almost any case in any animal small or large. I have been with Bay of Islands Veterinary Services since 2017 and feel at home in the Far North. In my spare time I am a keen deer hunter and love spending time in the great outdoors. In 2022 I became a Director of the business.
