Rachel has been an important part of the team for over 25 years. Her experience and eye for detail are matched with her strong compassion for our patients. She has rescued countless animals of all varieties over the years and continued their intensive care and rehabilitation at her home, helped by her daughter Jessie. Rachel has a lifestyle property she shares with many furry, woolly and feathered pets.
She is also great at taking in stray humans, including new vets and vet students. Rachel and Jessie live busy lives, often heading off on adventures with their caravan, boat and /or motorbikes. The best kept secret about Rachel is that she is an amazing horse-riding instructor, as she used to run a very busy Riding School in Christchurch.
