Our Team in Kawakawa

Clinic Co-ordinator, English Kate joined the Kawakawa Clinic in 2007 after falling in love with the land of the long white cloud during her overseas travels. Kate is passionate about the Kawakawa Community and is co-founder & secretary of B.O.I Animal Rescue working thought-out the far north to help all animals great & small. Kate loves spending her spare time outdoors in the garden, at home with the 2 dogs, 3 cats & 6 chickens, cycling and relaxing with Yoga and exploring all that NZ has.

My name is Jorrit Verver, and I completed vet school in 2009 in The Netherlands (Master’s in Farm Animal Health, Dairy Production Medicine). During vet school I spent time at several renowned equine clinics in the USA and UK and published a paper about superovulation in mares at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory in Colorado. I have been with Bay of Islands Veterinary Services since 2017 and feel at home in the Far North. Now I am an all-round mixed practitioner. Becoming director in 2022.
